New Years Eve Party

It’s time to start the New Year off with a bang – and by bang, we mean stunning style! It’s time to begin 2021 the right way with good friends, new goals, and iconic fashion.

Hey Trendsetters and Happy New Year!! I for one have never been to a fancy NYE party, but I wanted to go all out with this outfit for a sultry and classic NYE look. I got the main pieces of my outfit from Runway Fashion Exchange and was super excited I found such great pieces. Heels aren’t really my thing, but when I saw these chunky glittery heels, I knew I had to include them in my look. I’ve recently been more into exploring styles that intimidated me before, so this plunging neckline romper/dress was such a good addition. Black tights were worn underneath to make it more of a winter outfit and I completed my look with a classic pearl necklace and sparkly earrings that I’ve had forever. Overall, I spent less than $25 on this look!

I also wanted to do a classic and elegant makeup look for this shoot, so I went with a glittery smokey eye (which has also intimidated me before) and red lipstick. For my eyes, I used a combination of a few gold cosmetic-grade glitters and the James Charles Palette by Morphe along with some faux mink Ardell Beauty lashes. I completed this sultry look with the same press-on nails I wore for our Euphoria shoot.

SO GLAD 2020 is over! — xoxo, Sara

Who doesn’t love a little black dress? I got this one on sale from ‘Of Love & Lemons’, and I adore the unique style of it. The lace is hardy and thick rather than thin and flimsy, so you can move in it which is important for a night out on the town. I also adore any chance I get to wear something backless, so I can show off my back tattoo. It’s a pile of books surrounded by wildflowers, and if you look close, you can see my mom’s initials on one of the spines. She has the same tattoo on her forearm (but with my initials), so this particular tattoo is one of my favorites that adorns my body even if it is one of the least public ones. I think it’s important that a cocktail dress makes you feel special considering you’d presumably be wearing it to a special event. This dress absolutely achieves that for me, and I’m hoping it helps me usher in a year of unruly joy and unflinching confidence. Cheers!

Happy New Year, Trendsetters! As 2020 comes to a close, it’s time to start off the New Year in STYLE! What better way than showing off your glam at a fabulous, safe and socially-distanced New Year’s Eve party? For this shoot, we took inspiration from our ideal NYE party and strutted our stuff across the bridge between campus and Albertsons. For my look, there’s nothing that screams “New Year’s Eve party” quite like GLITTER!!! Who am I kidding, I’ll wear glitter to any occasion, but I had to start off 2021 with my best foot forward. For my look, I chose my black glitter one-armed cocktail dress that I got from H&M online 3 years ago. I paired it with some fabulous silver and gold rhinestone tights that I got at Spirit Halloween 6 years ago and my brand new rhinestone booties that I got at Ross as a birthday present to myself. I got my choker at TJ Maxx, and let me tell you it was hard to decide on what necklace to choose because I have so many chokers!

For my glam makeup look, I paired both a nude NYX eyeshadow with shades from the Jeffree Star mini palette that was given to me as a gift by fellow Trendsetter Cassidy. I put on one of my favorite lipsticks from NYX in the shade “Madrid” to tie the look together.  I hope you all made the most of the circumstances that 2020 handed us all, and I can’t wait to see you all in 2020!

Hey everyone! Like so many of you, I can’t wait for the new year. For my look for this shoot I really wanted to wear something that would reflect my fashion goals for 2021. I love, love, love full skirts with petticoats, they’re gorgeous and all the extra layers keep you warm. I often find myself not wearing petticoats as much as I could, and that’s something I want to change. My petticoat here is Grace Karen off of Amazon. The dress is vintage that I bought at the Montana Antique Mall(a.k.a. my favorite place to spend all the money I don’t have). It’s probably 80s or 90s does 50s style, based off of the fabric and price I paid. I had to take the waist in a bit, tailoring and remaking clothes is something I want to hone in 2021, to increase my clothing sustainability. I got the adorable shoes at Famous Footwear, the brand is Lifestride, which makes the most comfortable heels. My earrings are from my Junior prom, and I’m pretty sure I got them at Dillard’s. My favorite thing about this shoot was having a reason to dress up, here’s to hoping 2021 brings more reasons to pull out the costume jewelry. Happy New Year!

2020 is finally over! Thank the stars! Between school, work, medical things and everything else, I never thought one year would be so exhausting. For this look, I was inspired by Liz Sanchez (officiallizsanchez) on TikTok. I always wanted to feel so powerful wearing a suit and this photoshoot was my chance. I got the blazer and pants from TJ Maxx for about $18 total, the velvet red bodysuit was only $7 at Ross and the heels, oh my gosh the heels. Best $6 I have spent in a while. I usually don’t wear heels much but these made me feel amazing. I paired the outfit with a string of pearls my grandma gave me and the look was complete! A very special thank you to Rakel for making a fun experience from every photoshoot I did with her this year. Good luck in 2021 everyone!

Thank you all so much for following along with us through 2020. We hope to see you all in 2021 and make it our best year yet!
